CONSULT & TRAINING

I have 20+ years of experience in developing and selling innovations in biobased products, re/upcycling plastics and rubbers, adding value to wastes, and building solid business cases for these.

“First within a series of EU R&D Programmes. Next, as entrepreneur, through the foundation of a Dutch/Hong Kong partnership, from where the pioneering industrial production of biobased plastic granules was created under my lead as CEO. In 2016, I co-founded another innovative company, which upcycles rubber from safety glass and converts it from ‘waste’ into valuable products.

Through these experiences, I have acquired in-depth insight in the global plastics world, their value chains and its stakeholders. Especially in the past 10 years I have learned what it takes to acquire investment capital, to build up companies from scratch, and to lead it through the “Valley of Death”. It hasn’t been an easy job (to say the least) and it taught me to deal with setbacks, to have the courage to sail against the stream and to never give up.
Also, through my projects, workshops and training-sessions in the EU, Canada, China, Japan, India, Bangladesh and the Philippines – due to the countries’ diverse nature and culture – I have developed strong interpersonal skills, strong negotiation- and excellent influencing skills; knowing when to act straight-forward versus being diplomatic. It enabled me to build bridges between (inter)governmental representatives and industrial executives.

It has also strengthened my belief that the way to tackle the major global eco-economic issues, is through innovative entrepreneurship and smart international supply chain management. It requires a sustainable partnership between governments, academia, funding bodies, financiers, pioneering SMEs, industries, and NGOs to effectively address the issues at hand.”

TRAINING

I have a solid leadership experience and have coached international teams in environments that embrace change, cultivate excellence, productivity, growth, empowerment, teamwork.

“In the recent past, I have worked with American and Asian companies – in sales, customer service, and management. I have an experience from developing products & creating pricing strategies, to marketing & promotion, to consultative selling, to execution of programs through presentations, events, and trade shows.

Personality-wise, I am a trainer who motivates the employee in a way that they get the most out of themselves. I motivate and try to inspire people by talking about how their task has an impact on the big picture and ultimately making your business successful.  I have dealt with different kinds of teams, from corporate to workers in very rural areas. From people with Master’s degree levels to high school grads, Asians, Caucasians, etc.  – As a leader we need recognize what a team needs in order to be successful – and remove obstacles from that path to success.

Great leaders find the balance between business foresight, performance, and character. They have vision, courage, integrity, humility and focus along with the ability to plan strategically and catalyze cooperation amongst their team.”

Many organisations have publicly declared to become “sustainable”, “circular” or “carbon neutral”. It sounds great, yet, fact is that not many executives know how to make that transition. One of the greatest challenges in organisations is to change the behaviour of its people.

Here’s where Circular Solutions steps in.

In our workshops, we first intensively train on becoming more ‘open-minded’ to change by
* making the participants become aware of how their mind controls their actions and, next,
* how to step out of ordinary patterns.

After that, we educate participants on what it means to transition from a linear- to a circular economy – for society, for their organisation and on a personal level. Furthermore, we make them aware of
how the transition impacts their professional environment.

In the Final stage, we train participants on how to implement the principles in their work and how to communicate the transition with confidence to their employees / team / customers / shareholders / stakeholders.
